Separate the AI jobs

- Photo analysis proposes findings from visible conditions; the inspector must review the result.
- Repair-cost estimates add a range to a finding and need manual override controls.
- Equipment lookup reads a data plate and decodes manufacturer-specific serial formats.
- Dictation and office automation speed up input, scheduling, or communication but do not necessarily change the report itself.
What current official sources support

- Does the source photo or finding remain visible for review?
- Is the tool included in the quoted plan, early access, or separately priced?
- How does it handle an uncertain manufacturer, unreadable plate, or unusually wide cost range?
- Does the vendor retain submitted report text or photos for model training?
Bottom line
Do not choose inspection software because it appears on a “top AI tools” list. Choose the AI job you need, verify it on the vendor's current official page, test it against your own inspection examples, and confirm the exact plan terms in writing.
